Canocia de nassa

Fresh crustacean that lives on the sea bottom, digging holes in the sediment. It is marketed alive, after being captured using traps (the lobster pots from which it takes its name) equipped with special baits (fresh or frozen fish), whose smell attracts the crustaceans that remain imprisoned in the pots.

It is yellowish, beige or brownish in colour with large purple spots on the telson and has a maximum length of 23cm.
