Potato 'chifeleti'

Difficulty: Medium Doses: for 4 people

1 kg of potatoes,

250 g of type 00 flour,

2 eggs,

1 liter of sunflower seeds,

½ sachet of baking powder (optional),



The dialectal term chifeleto comes from the German kipfel, which indicated a crescent-shaped bread "invented" by a Viennese baker after the victory over the Turks, who in 1683 had besieged Vienna. Chifeleti can also be prepared in the sweet version, covered with sugar and cinnamon, possibly stuffed with jam.
