Spaghetti with clams

Difficulty: Easy Doses: for 4 people

1kg of clams, 

320g of spaghetti, 

3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil

1 garlic clove, 

1 sprig of chopped fresh parsley, 


black peppercorns. 


Clams belong to the Veneridae family; those living on the sandy bottom are very common. They can be harvested all year round, except in June, when they breed. Particularly tasty is the “vongola verace” (Venerupis decussata), also known as horned clam, due to the two vents that protrude from the valves.
